Hello I'm Gerard from Holland and a big racing fan from the 70's untill now. Sorry I dont speak French. I'm making a website of the famous Dutch Grand Prix driver, Jack Middelburg from the late seventies, early eighties, it was the time of Barry Sheene, Marco Lucchinelli, Franco Uncini, Kenny Roberts, Johnny Cecotto etc. He died during a race in the netherlands, tolber, in april 1984. In that time he was my brother in law to be. I'm looking for pictures of him from the years 1978-1983. He won the race on Silverstone 1981 and the dutch TT Assen 1980. I hope you can help me of some, I would be very greatfull for that

Please can you help me? Jack was riding in the 500cc classe.

If you want to help me I can send some pics of him from the different years.He didnt always ride with the same number.

1979, suzuki, lots of different numbers, main sponsor : F&S

1980, yamaha, most of the time number 8, main sponsor I.M.N.

1981, suzuki, most of the time number 8, 9 or 11, main sponsor Sarome

1982, suzuki, most of the time number 4, main sponsor Ergon and later in the season HB-Suzuki (factorybike)

1983. honda, most of the time number 30 or 22, main sponsor Femis, 2 races with Barclay, also the light brown colours

1981, Suzuki, numéro 8, 9 ou 11 la plupart du temps, principal sponsor: Sarome

1982, Suzuki, Nuémro 4 la majeure partie du temps, principal sponsor: Ergon, puis plus tard dans la saison: HB-Suzuki (l'usine)

And you're not the 1st Dutch to visit us.
If I'm right, you are the Third one, after one collecting all the official magazines of the circuits every year, another being fan of Barros and now, you, apparently a big fan of a rider totally unknown to me.

I'm sorry not to have any pics of your favourite rider but there are some real good "pics hunters" here who should find several pics for you and your site.

I hope you'll come back often here and I wish you all the best for 2006 !

Thnx for welcoming me here (also thanks to the rest), my favs these days are: ofcourse Rossi, Melandri and Pedrosa. But not in the way Jack was in the past. And guys like Sheene, Cecotto, Uncini, Lucchinelli, Sarron (Christian), Mamola and Schwantz
