Ceci explique le temps relativmeent moyen de Melandri
Nevertheless, Nakano's very impressive time of 2mins 1.8secs (as reported by his MotoGP rivals at the test... although motogp.com has it as a 2min 1.08secs - Kawasaki has yet to release an 'official' Nakano time) was over one second better than the fastest race lap from last September's Malaysia Grand Prix and effectively equalled Loris Capirossi's pole time at the same event.
The Ducati rider was nearest to Nakano today, lapping just 0.07secs from the Japanese, but the 2min 1.66secs set by Fortuna Honda's Marco Melandri yesterday remained unbeaten. Melandri himself would suffer a mysterious high speed fall and ended the day with just the 11th fastest time.
