New Honda LCR rider Carlos Checa got 2007 off to a forgettable start at Sepang on Monday when he fell from his new RC212V Honda, during the opening day of testing at the Malaysian circuit.

Fortunately, the experienced Spaniard - who looked to have shaken his previous 'Carlos crasher' reputation during an impressive 2006 at Tech 3 Yamaha - appeared to have been unhurt in the fall.

Honda LCR had more than its fair share of repair bills last season, courtesy of rookie Casey Stoner...

Testing at Sepang continues until Wednesday.
